Wearing Christmas costumes, students in the school of foreign languages (SFL) went to publicize ‘Civil Subway Ride’ in the subway on December 24, 2016, which gained high praise from the society.

As the most important festival in western countries, Christmas has gained much popularity in recent years. In the combination of culture experiencing and etiquette spreading, SFL students abandoned the past ways of celebrating Christmas like attending parties or shopping and chose to publicizetheconcept of ‘Showing Courtesy to Others, Caring for Others, Helping Others’ to citizensin the subwaythis year. It brought a more meaningful Christmas to the students in joining in public service activities. It is also a new attempt of inviting cultural experience to volunteer work.
