The school implements integrated management with affiliated hospitals of Guangdong Medical College. It is located on Zhanjiang campus, with more than 6300 undergraduates. The majors designed include Clinical medicine, Clinical Medicine orientation (Dermatology and Venereology, Eye Otolaryngology, Rehabilitation Medicine, General Medicine, Plastic Surgery Science), Medical Imaging, Anesthesia and Medicine with enrollment in 20 provinces.
With fifty years of construction and development, the First School of Clinical Medicine has become a school with professional maturity, complete disciplines, abundant teachers, improved teaching conditions, and high teaching quality. It has a staff of more than 600 existing associate professors and professors with more than 100 master tutors and 7 doctoral tutors.
With a staff of 2100 people, the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical College in Zhanjiang is an upper first-class hospital with strong technical force, advanced equipment and complete functions. There are 2100 capacity open to many provinces in China like Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei and 10 countries and regions overseas. Its outpatient and inpatient rank first in western Guangdong. It is the center of medicine, prevention, education and research in Guangxi and Hainan marginal areas. Master's degree is authorized in all disciplines of Clinical Medicine. More than 160 graduate students are enrolled each year. ★Clinical Medicine (5 years)
The main objects of training is to develop good professional ethics, creativity, practical skills and lifelong learning ability in the students in this major, helping them to master knowledge, theories and skills in the aspects of basic medicine, clinical medicine, and preventive medicine. After graduation, these students will grow to clinical expertise in fields of medical practice, education and academic research.

★Medical Imaging (5 years)
This major aims to recruit medical graduates with preliminary clinical ability, life-long learning ability and good professional quality. As medical practitioners, these graduates will be qualified in clinical work such as medical imaging diagnosis, interventional radiology and medical imaging technology. They will also be qualified in constantly improving their professional ability in the fast developing medicine environment.
Curriculum:Medical Electronics, Systematic Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Medical Immunology, Pathology, Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic medical imaging, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine imaging, medical imaging ultrasound diagnosis, tumor radiation therapy.
★Anesthesiology(5 years)
This major aims to recruit medical graduates with preliminary clinical ability, life-long learning ability and good professional quality. As medical practitioners, these graduates will be qualified in clinical anesthesia, diagnosis and treatment if pains and critical illness, emergency recovery, and constantly improving their professional ability in the fast developing medicine environment.
Curriculum:Anatomy, histology and embryology, biochemistry and molecular biology, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, immunology, diagnosis, Department of internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, clinical anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and diagnosis and treatment of pain.Clinical rehabilitation is added tothe Painclinic direction curriculum.
