The Second School of Clinical Medicine, the predecessor of which was the Second Department of Clinical Medicine, was established in September 2000 and was renamed as Second School of Clinical Medicine in 2010. Two majors like Clinical Medicine, Stomatology are offered. Presently, it has more than 3,000 undergraduate students. Graduate employment is promising, with more than 95% employment rate in the last three years and the majority working in the Pearl River Delta region.
It makes use of abundant medical resources in PRD. With years of construction and development, it has become a school with professional maturity, complete discipline and strong teaching resource. There are 350 full-time teachers (including those in non-affiliated hospitals), among whom 128 are associate professors and above, 229 are master teachers and above, accounting for 65.4% of the total. It owns more than 100 clinical teaching bases.
The school has a large-scaled and well-equipped clinical skills training center and simulated hospital with unique features. It is the teaching demonstration center in Guangdong Province, providing a solid foundation for the skilled and excellent practical talents.
Adhering to the motto of "determination, morality, truth and refinement", the school is now implementing the "Excellent Doctor" training plan. It strives to cultivate talents with a solid theoretical foundation, excellent clinical skill, good research quality, and comprehensive outstanding qualities.
★Clinical Medicine (5 years)
The main objects of training is to develop good professional ethics, creativity, practical skills and lifelong learning ability in the students in this major, helping them to master knowledge, theories and skills in the aspects of basic medicine, clinical medicine, and preventive medicine. After graduation, these students will grow to clinical expertise in fields of medical practice, education and academic research.

The main objective of this major is to train application-oriented talents, who are capable of oral disease prevention, treatment, academic research and related work at all levels of medical and scientific researching institutions with solid academic knowledge, practical skills and innovative spirits.
