An emergency drill for epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19 was launched on Zhanjiang and Dongguan campus on the forenoon of April 16th in order to carry out epidemic prevention and control work of COVID-19 in a scientific, standard and orderly manner, improve epidemic prevention and emergency response capabilities, ensure the health and safety of faculties and students, maintain the normal teaching order and campus stability.

There are four scenarios in the drill, which respectively simulate the prevention , control measures and emergency response of students' registration, dormitory life, classroom learning and canteen management. The focus was put on the corresponding emergency treatment for finding suspected cases of students after their return, health monitoring in the dormitories, classroom teaching activities, dining in the canteen, etc.
