On March 3, 2022, the Global Scholars Library released the national top 100 experts ranking in the field of geriatrics with international academic influence in the past ten years (2012-2021) and Professor Xiong ranked 50th. After being selected to be one of the top 100 of academic influence in 2021 last year, his entering into the list again this year marks the further improvement of our university’s academic influence in geriatric medicine in the country.
The ranking of the list is based on the massive paper data of the Global Scholars Database. It has extensively collected relevant papers published overseas by Chinese scholars in the field of geriatrics in the past ten years, and established a paper-based expert academic influence evaluation method, indicator system and mathematical model. After calculating the scores of each scholar's paper to achieve the total score of each scholar, the relevant institution sorted the total score from high to low to get the top 100 ranking.
