In order to facilitate the vaccination of teachers and students, especially the retired staff, Zhanjiang campus carried out centralized vaccination on March 24 to provide convenience for teachers and students who have not yet received their third dose of COVID-19 booster shots.

85-year-old professor Nie Sihuai and his 84-year-old wife Professor Tang Weiping came to the vaccination site and received the third dose of vaccine after a routine health check. Luo Hui, the deputy secretary of the university, expressed his gratitude for their active participation in the campus epidemic prevention work. After getting the shot, the two old professors told Luo Hui that  the retirees have the responsibility of building a stronger immune barrier and maintaining campus safety. And  it is necessary for the elderly to strengthen the immunity for the sake of strengthening personal protection and ensuring health .

According to the data of Hospital Management Department, more than 140 doses of vaccine were given to people on Zhanjiang campus that day, including some teachers and students who missed the third injection and some retirees. As for the centralized vaccination organized by the university, the teachers and students express that "It is very convenient to finish the vaccination without leaving the campus, which saves us a lot of time and energy."
