Meetings Held to Promote the Comprehensive Reform of Undergraduates Talents Training

On March , a series of meetings were held to promote the comprehensive reform on medical and engineering integration talents training, credits system reform and the construction of Industrial School. The meetings were chaired by Vice president Zeng Zhirong and attended by leaders from relevant schools and Academic Affairs Department .

The meeting on medical and engineering integration talents training introduced the current successful cases of joint training of double bachelor's degrees in China and the province, the basic situation of teaching modes, as well as the cooperation between the University and Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT).

The meeting proposed that we must fully consider the professional talent training of the university and the professional setting of DGUT, give full play to the advantages of the discipline construction and development of the two universities, especially the "integration of medical and engineering" compound talent training. The academic affairs department and schools should actively promote the implementation plan of credit mutual recognition and credit exchange between the two universities, further strengthen the innovative cooperation between the two universities, and explore a new talent training mode.

The meeting on promoting the reform of the professional credit system stressed that the reform needs to be carried out from four aspects: the change of the concept of talent training, talent training objectives and standards, talent training mode and teaching methods.
